How to get to Skopelos
By Plane
Skopelos Island does not have an airport. The closest airport is on the neighbouring island of Skiathos. Skiathos airport has many flights from the biggest European cities, including those of England, Italy, Norway, Holland, Sweden, Belgium, Denmark, Switzerland and Austria. When you land at Skiathos airport, you may take the hydrofoil (40 minutes) or the ferry (90 minutes) direct to Skopelos Island.

How to reach Skopelos Island from Athens
The quickest way to get to Skopelos from Athens is to take a flight from Athens airport (Eleftherios Venizelos) to Skiathos Island and, from Skiathos Island, by hydrofoil or ferry to Skopelos Island.

The other way to get to Skopelos island from Athens is by bus, which is connected with the hydrofoil to Skopelos at Aghios Constantinos. The bus leaves from Alkyon Travel Agency (97, Akadimias street, Kanigos Square Athens – phone 0030-210-3843220) and the tickets can be obtained from this travel agency only. The hydrofoil service ("Flying Dolphins") is the most reliable way to get to Skopelos island.

How to reach Skopelos Island from Volos
There are also hydrofoils from Volos (halfway between Athens and Thessaloniki) and this is the best place from which to take a car ferry if you are coming by road.
How to reach Skopelos Island from Thessaloniki
There are (summer only) hydrofoil services (Flying Cat) from Thessaloniki and you can be in Skopelos in 2hours 30 minutes.
