The close by, walled stairway with dramatic views down the shear cliffs to the sea leads either up to the old Venetian fortress of Kastro, or down to the harbour.

Two local supermarkets are found in the area, and the waterfront and its shops, restaurants and cafes is a short 8-minute walk down the streets.

The small beach of Glyfoneri, at the bay of Agios Konstantinos can be reached in approximately twenty minutes walk from the house. There is a selection of local tavernas along the road down to the beach with wonderful views to the bay and beyond.
